What a beautiful sight! Bishop Emeritus Sam Jacobs presided The Chrism Mass this morning along with the beloved priests in our diocese, who stood together to renew their priestly vows and affirm their commitment to Christ and His Church. Pray for our priests, that the Lord may pour out His gifts abundantly upon them and keep them faithful as ministers of Christ. ✝️
The Sacred Oils—of Chrism, Catechumens, and the Sick— were consecrated for use in all of our church parishes in the coming year. Father Simon Peter, Diocesan Administrator, reminded us that this oil may be used to consecrate our next bishop!
May we remember that we, too, are God’s chosen and anointed ones. Let us pray for each other as we move into the Sacred Triduum.
