• For Pope Francis…

Fr. Zachary Galante of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is in Rome and was present to concelebrate Pope Francis’ funeral Mass with brother priests from around the world.

“Friends, this morning thousands of people gathered in St. Peter’s Square to pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis in his Requiem Mass. There were many heads of state there and many of the pilgrims from around the world here for these solemn days. Cardinal Re spoke about Pope Francis’s legacy and achievements during the homily, and he called Francis the Pope of Mercy. After the Mass, Pope Francis was promptly taken to the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore where he was laid to rest. We pray now that he might be purified in the mercy of God and enjoy God’s perpetual light.”
