• On this Second Sunday of Easter, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday. The liturgy inspires hope and trust in Jesus’ divine compassion.

Psalm 118 proclaims, “(God’s) mercy endures forever.”

The Gospel of John 20:19-31 recounts Jesus’ appearance to the apostles, offering peace and forgiveness, and Thomas’ doubt is transformed into belief.

Having experienced Divine Mercy, the apostles are now emboldened with the same Spirit that breathed peace into them (Acts 5:12-16). This Sunday, we are reminded that Mercy is the love we receive when we least deserve it. Divine Mercy transforms fear into courage, doubt into faith, and wounds into witness.

Reflection: We are invited to embrace Jesus’ mercy, trust in His love, and share it with others by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet, seeking reconciliation, and spreading compassion in our world. How will you honor God’s mercy, beginning in this Easter Season?
