His Excellency Bishop James T. Ruggieri has announced three new priest assignments, effective June 1, 2025.
Reverend Monsignor Marc B. Caron, who has served as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Diocese of Portland since 2020, will become the Director of the Center for Continuing Formation at Saint Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Reverend Kyle L. Doustou has been appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Portland. His responsibilities will include direct oversight of the Offices of Ministry to Priests, Seminarians, Vocations, Retired Priests, Latin Mass Chaplaincy, and Parish Planning as well as the supervision of the Department Directors of the Bishop’s Office, Ministerial Services, Finance, and Pastoral and Administrative Services. Rev. Doustou has served as pastor of the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord in Old Town since July of 2019, as well as the diocesan Director of Campus Ministry and Chaplain at the University of Maine Orono.
Reverend Brad Morin has been appointed pastor of the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord in Old Town, where he has served as parochial vicar since July of 2023. Fr. Morin will continue to serve as the Director of Vocations and Campus Ministry for the diocese.
