PRAY: DAY 2 | ROSARY NOVENA FOR THE CONCLAVE: May is the month of Mary. Ave Maria! Over coming days, Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing invites you to join him in praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary to ask that the Holy Spirit informs and inspires the elector cardinals of Church who will gather in conclave within the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, beginning May 7, to choose a new successor of Saint Peter as Bishop of Rome. Today we pray the Sorrowful Mysteries which reflect upon the passion and death of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. They are:
1. The Agony in the Garden (Luke 22:44-45)
2. The Scourging at the Pillar (John 19:1)
3. The Crowning with Thorns (Matthew 27:28-29)
4. The Carrying of the Cross (John 19:17)
5. The Crucifixion (Luke 23:46)Concluding prayer:
O Lord, guide the Cardinals as they gather. Send Your Holy Spirit: Grant them wisdom and right judgment, so that they may elect a shepherd after your own Heart, who will please you by his holiness, confirm his brothers in the truth, and tend to your people in love. We ask these blessings in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen.
