Only a few days ago, we celebrated the feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1. In his recent column, Bishop Knestout writes about why the Church values work, with St. Joseph as our role model.
He writes, “The importance of the Memorial of St. Joseph the Worker emphasizes the dignity of work and esteems the laborer. This day is meant to encourage all who feel the burden of hard work, even when it becomes overwhelming.”
