Dio Portland in MaineIn celebration of May as the Month of Mary, children at several parishes participated in May crowning ceremonies, placing wreaths of flowers on statues of the Blessed Mother and flowers at her feet. Among those participating were The Parish of St. John Paul II Maine in Scarborough and St. Paul the Apostle – Bangor. At St. Paul the Apostle, the celebration also included a Marian pilgrimage at St. Mary Church, during which the Rosary, St. Mary’s Way of the Cross, and a litany of Mary’s virtues were prayed.
