• Around 2 pm in Rome, St. Peter’s Basilica staff began setting up seats for tomorrow’s Mass with the Cardinal elect at 10 am. This Mass will take place just before the opening of the Conclave.

Annaleigh Gidosh, Communications Specialist at the Diocese of Allentown, shares her experience with us:

“It was a surreal moment to watch the staff place each seat. Just moments before, I knelt at St. Peter’s tomb praying, ‘St. Peter, come be with the man who will become our next pope. Please guide him.’ Walking up the stairs near the altar to see they were setting up for Mass – made the experience so real. I cannot believe I was just walking amongst the tombs of some of our past popes and came up to see them setting up for a Mass meant to call upon the Holy Spirit to be present with them as they take on the task of electing a new one.”
