• PRAY: DAY 6 | ROSARY NOVENA FOR THE CONCLAVE: Tomorrow the elector cardinals of the Church will begin their prayerful deliberations to elect a new Bishop of Rome. Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing asks that we accompany those gathered in conclave within Rome’s Sistine Chapel with prayer and, especially, the prayer of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Hence, today we pray the Sorrowful Mysteries which reflect upon the passion and death of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. They are:

      1. The Agony in the Garden (Luke 22:44-45)
      2. The Scourging at the Pillar (John 19:1)
      3. The Crowning with Thorns (Matthew 27:28-29)
      4. The Carrying of the Cross (John 19:17)
      5. The Crucifixion (Luke 23:46)

      Concluding prayer:

O Lord, guide the Cardinals as they gather. Send Your Holy Spirit: Grant them wisdom and right judgment, so that they may elect a shepherd after your own Heart, who will please you by his holiness, confirm his brothers in the truth, and tend to your people in love. We ask these blessings in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen.
