PRAY: DAY 7 | ROSARY NOVENA FOR THE CONCLAVE: Today the elector Cardinals of the Church are gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel to begin their prayerful discernment and election of the next Bishop of Rome. To aid them in their deliberations, Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing is urging each of us to pray the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to ask the Holy Spirit to inform and inspire those charged with selecting our next Pope. Today we pray the Glorious Mysteries. They are:
1. The Resurrection of Our Lord (Mark 16:6)
2. The Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven (Mark 16:19)
3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles (Acts 2:4)
4. The Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven (Judith 15:9-10)
5. The Coronation of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven (Revelation 12:1)Concluding prayer:
O Lord, guide the Cardinals as they gather. Send Your Holy Spirit: Grant them wisdom and right judgment, so that they may elect a shepherd after your own Heart, who will please you by his holiness, confirm his brothers in the truth, and tend to your people in love. We ask these blessings in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen.
