With great joy the Church celebrates the election of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Our new Holy Father, the first American pope, who has taken the name of Leo XIV, greeted the crowds in St. Peter’s Square. Thanks be to God for his mercy in sending us a Shepherd to guide the people of God.
