Dio BeaumontA delicious lunch was held today at St Anthony Cathedral Basilica to thank the volunteers who helped with the annual St. Joseph Altar and to present the funds raised to four organizations. Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, Nutrition and Services for Seniors, the Food Bank of Southeast Texas and Some Other Place each received $15,000 for their ministry in providing food to those in need. A few volunteers were singled out for their work including Rose Ann Brocato who has volunteered for years and has made thousands and thousands of cookies. In 2025, 60,364 cookies were baked. Mark your calendars for the St. Joseph Altar next year – March 19, 2026! And preparing and baking will begin in January 2026.
