The Cathedral of Saint Joseph will tomorrow celebrate 63 years since its consecration by Auxiliary Bishop John F. Hackett on May 15, 1962.
According to the “General Norms for the Liturgical Year and the Calendar,” the anniversary of a cathedral church’s dedication is to be celebrated on the date of its consecration. In the cathedral itself, it is observed as a solemnity, while in other churches of the archdiocese, it is celebrated as a feast. Please join us tomorrow for this solemnity at the 12:10 PM daily Mass at the Cathedral, celebrated by Archbishop Christopher Coyne.
