Arch BostonSometimes something we hope for doesn’t happen and it’s disappointing. But true hope does not disappoint.
As Christians, our hope is in Jesus Christ, who took our sin upon himself, suffered the consequences through death, and rose from the dead, opening the gates of Heaven to us. As Pope Francis put it, “The storms that buffet us will never prevail, for we are firmly anchored in the hope born of grace, which enables us to live in Christ and to overcome sin, fear and death.” (Spes Non Confundit, 25).
As you celebrate the Jubilee Year, consider how you can better rest your hope in Jesus and trust in God’s love for you.
