On June 5th, we joyfully celebrate the 48th Anniversary of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux! 🎉
Established in 1977 by Pope St. Paul VI, our diocese has grown into a vibrant, faith-filled community—from our church parishes to the bayous, and throughout our schools and ministries. Each part of our diocese continues to be a living witness to Christ’s love and His Church.
We give sincere thanks for our past bishops, as well as our priests, religious, and the faithful laity who have served with love and devotion over the years. As we pray for a new bishop, we remain united in gratitude and hope.
Let us pray the Holy Spirit will continue to guide us into our next 48 years!
