• We are well into the season of spring, but in the Church, we are also in a season of sacraments. More than 600 people in our diocese were welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil, children are receiving their first Eucharist and reconciliation, and many of our teens are receiving the sacrament of confirmation.

      In his recent column, Bishop Knestout writes about the beauty of this season and the impact the sacraments can make in our lives, “While Penance is medicinal, the Eucharist is food. Our closeness to Christ–our reception of His body and blood in the Eucharist–is spiritual food. Like the food we consume daily, our faith, rooted in the Eucharist, is nourishing.”
