- Venerable Pierre Toussaint (1766–1853) is the patron saint of barbers and hair stylists. Toussaint was a devout Catholic born in Haiti and brought to New York City as a slave. He died a free man, a renowned hairdresser, and a well-known Catholic in New York City. In 1996, he was declared Venerable. - Pierre Toussaint, pray for us!
