      Hundreds of people gathered for Mass at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Friday, May 9, to celebrate the announcement of the new Holy Father. Bishop Knestout was the main celebrant and was joined by several priests and deacons from throughout the diocese.

      Pope Leo XIV, 69, is the second youngest pope in modern times, and many attendants at Mass expressed their excitement for the perspective he will bring to the Vatican.
