May 31 is the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Today’s feast, one of the joyful mysteries of the rosary, is found in the Gospel of Luke. As Mary approaches Elizabeth, John the Baptist leapt in her womb as she exclaimed, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb….Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled”
