Effective July 15, 2025:
Very Reverend Monsignor Matthew T. Long, J.D., V.G., appointed pastor of St. Pius X Parish, Shreveport and St. Clement Church, Vivian. He continues in his role as pastor of St. Jude Parish, Benton, vicar general and moderator of the curia, and director of the Office of Permanent Diaconate.Reverend Calistus Barasa Makokha, F.M.H., relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Farmerville and assisting with Hispanic Ministry at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Ruston. He is appointed associate pastor of Little Flower of Jesus Parish, Monroe, St. Matthew Parish, Monroe, and Sacred Heart Church, Rayville.
Reverend Peter Romanus Mallya, F.M.H., relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Rayville, its mission, St. Theresa Church, Delhi, and St. Joseph Parish, Bastrop. He is appointed chaplain at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, and St. Frederick High School, Monroe.
Very Reverend Peter B. Mangum, J.C.L., V.F., relieved of his responsibilities as sacramental minister at St. Fredrick High School, Monroe. He continues in his role as pastor of Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, Monroe, administrator of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Monroe, and its missions, St. Lawrence Church, Swartz, and campus minister at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Reverend Joseph A. Martina, Jr., appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Rayville, and St. Theresa Church, Delhi. He continues in his role as pastor of St. Matthew Parish, Monroe.
Reverend James Moran, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Pius X Parish, Shreveport, and St. Clement Parish, Vivian. He is appointed associate pastor of St. Pius X Parish, Shreveport, St. Clement Church, Vivian, and St. Jude Church, Benton.
Reverend Kevin Mues, relieved of his responsibilities as pastoral administrator of St. Benedict Parish, Grambling. He is appointed pastor of St. Benedict Church, Grambling, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Farmerville. He continues in his role as pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Ruston, St. Lucy Church, Hodge, and campus minister at E. Donn Piatt Catholic Student Center at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston.
Reverend Michael Thang’wa, F.M.H., relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Farmerville. He continues in his role as pastor of St. Paschal Parish, West Monroe.
