• PRAY: NOVENA FOR PRIESTLY ORDINANDS DAY #2 | DEACON JONATHAN BOKUNIEWICZ: Today is the second day of our novena – nine days of prayer – for the seven young men who will be ordained to the sacred priesthood for the Diocese of Lansing on Saturday, June 14.

Today we pray specifically for Deacon Jonathan Bokuniewicz. Jonathan is a son of Saint Augustine in Howell. Following ordination, he will serve as Parochial Vicar of Saint Gerard, Lansing. How does he feel as ordination approaches? He says:

“Praise God! I am deeply blessed and delighted to be ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ. I am greatly looking forward to being in a parish and being able to serve and walk with the people of God in a new way. I am looking forward to celebrating Mass and hearing confessions and am also looking forward to simply being able to be present and available for people in whatever way they need. Many people in my life have helped to foster my vocation and form me into the man I am today. For all of them I am immensely grateful. I know the Lord will be with me in this new journey because it is precisely Him who has called me to this and it is Him whom I bring to the people I serve. To anyone discerning a call to the priesthood or religious life I simply encourage them to trust fully in God and his providence. He will bring about in their lives whatever he has planned for them.⁣” Let us pray:

Day 2: Pray for the grace to discern how God is calling us to know, love, and serve Him.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be⁣…

Let us pray: Hear us, we beseech you, Lord, our God, and pour out on these your servants the blessing of the Holy Spirit, that these men, who are to be consecrated to your service, may be surrounded by your rich and unfailing grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
