Bishop Toups greeted parishioners at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica by saying birthday everybody! Today, Pentecost, is the birthday of the Church! He challenged us in his homily to not rely upon ourselves but to rely on the Holy Spirit. Our job is to pray every day, ‘Come, Holy Spirit, come! Enkindle in us the fire of your love, that you may renew the face of this world.’ After the homily, Bishop Toups blessed the board, staff and volunteers of Catholic Charities.
