Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! Let us rejoice in the gift of Christ’s Sacred Heart and the unceasing love he has for each one of us. Christ gives us this gift of His Sacred Heart not because He must, but because He wants to. He does this despite our shortcomings and our sins, and even knowing we will fall short again. Yet, there he is, holding our hearts in His, so we can find peace and refuge in Him.
His love for us burns like an unceasing fire. His love, which He displayed for us when He took on flesh and became man and hung on the Wood of the Cross; and that love is revealed again at every Mass and through us in our most spirit-led moments. All he asks is that we love him in return, and spread that unceasing love to all of those whom we encounter.
Christ the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, thirsts for 𝐲𝐨𝐮. Do you thirst for Him?
