Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul. These two men were influential to the spread of the Gospel and the early Christian church.
St. Peter was called “the Rock” on which Jesus would build his Church.
St. Paul was called in a special way to be an apostle by Jesus on the road to Damascus. Paul preached the Gospel to the Gentiles (non-Jewish believers).
Both men are pillars in the history of the Church and are remembered for their virtue and dedication to God.
