The word “Pentecost” comes from the Greek word for “fiftieth,” referring to the 50th day after Easter. This year, Pentecost had a little extra meaning for Holy Spirit parish in Virginia Beach, as the parish community celebrated their 50th anniversary as well!
The June celebration is just part of how the parish is marking its historical milestone, with several other celebrations planned throughout the year.
