St Anthony Cathedral Basilica was full this morning as the community gathered in prayer for the victims and their families of the Hill Country flooding. In his homily Father Shane Baxter said that in this situation, we may feel helpless and don’t know what to do, but the best thing we can do right now is pray – pray for the repose of the souls who perished in the flood and pray and hope for the safe return of as many of the others who are still missing. We continue to pray for the safe return of those missing and for the victims and families of all who are affected by the flooding. It is reported that at least 27 people are dead and many are still missing.
