Monsignor Michael Murphy was Bishop Moderator of the Curia from 1997 to 2011. Monsignor Robert Lunsford was Chancellor from 1999 to 2005. Both were close collaborators of Bishop Mengeling during his time at the helm of the Diocese of Lansing from 1996 to 2008.
