Today is the feast day of St. Kateri Tekakwitha! We held a beautiful 30th annual Memorial Mass on Friday in honor of St. Kateri at Holy Family Catholic Church, in Dulac as we celebrated the American Indian ministry in our diocese! 🪶
Known as the “Lily of the Mohawks”, St. Kateri found herself between two worlds—not fully embraced by her European counterparts, and shunned by her tribe members because of her newfound Christian faith. It was a difficult walk, but she remained faithful to Jesus—even when it cost her everything.
St. Kateri, help us follow Jesus with our whole hearts.❤️
