• St. Bonaventure lived a life of humility, poverty, and had a strong devotion to Christ.

      Born in Tuscany, Italy, St. Bonaventure joined a Franciscan Order at the age of 22. He served as a senior faculty member at the University of Paris before becoming minister general of his order. In 1273, he was named a cardinal and was later appointed bishop of Albano.

      He was named a doctor of the Church in 1588. #FeastDay
