Bishop-Elect Simon Peter Engurait is officially the next shepherd of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux! 🥳
During the press conference for his announcement, Bishop-Elect shared several beautiful reflections about how he found out he was going to be the next Bishop, how the Blessed Virgin Mary inspires him as a priest (and now Bishop), and his top priorities for the diocese. In his words, “I promise to listen, to learn, and will labor with you and for you… I love you, and I consider it a great honor to serve as your next bishop.”
