This past Wednesday, on the Feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Paul the Apostle – Bangor’s Lay Order of Carmelites presented at daily Mass to renew their promises.
Father Kilian celebrated Mass, assisted by Deacon Luis Sanclemente and Deacon Mike Whalen.
At the close of Mass, Deacon Luis addressed the parishioners, “Once again congratulations to the Carmelites on the renewal of their vows and promises. Something that we want to keep in mind, is that we’re very grateful that we have this group within our Parish, who through their prayers and devotions literally support a lot of our endeavors and ministries and are the silent prayerful support of the success that is experienced by all of us. So if you or somebody that you know has a very strong and deep prayer life and a strong devotion to Our Lady, they may be called to be a Lay Carmelite and please reach out for more information. Enjoy the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.”
Following all Masses the weekend of July 19 and 20, enrollment in the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be offered to anyone wishing to receive it.
