Feast of Saint James, Apostle
Today, July 25, we celebrate the Feast of Saint James, the Apostle, sone of Zebedee and brother of Saint John. One of Jesus’ closest disciples, Saint James witnessed the Lord’s transfiguration and agony in the garden, and was blessed to be the first Apostle to receive the crown of martyrdom. Let us honor Saint James’ courage and zeal by proclaiming the Gospel with love and offering the Lord the sacrifice of our lives.
