      In the 1920s, Blessed #PierGiorgioFrassati read it and was inspired to fight to justice for the working class. He frequently joined their gatherings as well as demonstrations against fascism, facing arrest during his fight for justice.

      May 2025: Pope Leo XIV chose the name Leo because of Pope Leo XIII, who wrote Rerum Novarum in the context of the first industrial revolution. Pope Leo XIV compared our current day to “another industrial revolution” with AI developments that “pose new challenges for the defence of human dignity, justice, and labor.”
