Father was surveying the pews of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown where, on June 21, the faithful had gathered for a Mass of Thanksgiving for Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist.
The past president of the Paulist Fathers and a national leader in Catholic evangelization, Father DeSiano, gave a talk before the start of the liturgy, “about the Mass, not as a 2,000-year-old rite, but as an evangelizing event.”
